Tech Level 1 Testing

After class we all decided to go to the Ashby computer lab to take the Tech Level 1 tests. None of us had taken it yet so we decided to take it all together. The computer lab was right next door, so that made it convenient to take the tests. The tests weren't all that bad. Word and Powerpoint were easy, but Excel was hard. None of us had really used Excel in the past so we were all kind of confused on what to do. In the end, all of us were able to pass all the tests. Yeah! :)

Painting Nails!

Today we decided that we were going to hang out after class and paint our nails! It was fun, and nice to just relax a little.  As we painted our nails we also talked about our next speech.  We knew our topic and created sub topics and assigned who was going to present each one.  Overall the day was fun while also being very productive.

Reading (and crying) about our pros and cons index cards

Well after receiving our index cards full of pros and cons from our first presentation, we decided to all go back to Allison's dorm and read what people had to say. Most of them were pretty normal and all said pretty much the same thing. But one card was really out of the ordinary.. it didn't say anything helpful but had a number or sarcastic comments instead, such as "what" and "...okay" and "talking about bulimia makes me want to vomit." It gave us all a little laugh but we were pretty confused at the same time. Was it supposed to be a joke and were they trying to be funny? Who knows..

Cloud Gazing ... or atleast an attempt

After class on Monday we decided to get lunch and just talk about the different parts of our presentation and gave comments and suggestions about what to do. While chatting we were looking at the clouds but as you can see there really wasn't that many to look at. So instead we decided to get lunch, I'm starting to think that this group is all about eating -ha. We went to Dukes and it was amazing, as always.

Group Business Meeting =)

At the business group meeting, we all discussed and talked about our schedules and Code of Conduct. We also compared our schedules and saw what we fit and when we should meet as a group. Also, we came up with ideas about being late, or what happens when not turning in an assignment. We talked about the expectations for each group member and each meeting. We also talked about the attendance and punishments of being late or missing a meeting.

Intro/ Mixer/ Social Gathering ;)

After class, we all went to Alison's dorm at Wampler on the quad. We had a social gathering in her room, we watched t.v. and had chips and dip. We also talked about how school's going and how we feel about our dorms. We turned on some music and did some dances!

Eating at Top Dog! :)

After Gcom class, we all went to eat at Top Dog Cafe. We all got burgers and fries from Grilleworks. It was a pretty long line, so the food took forever! After getting food, we all sat down on a table near the windows. Then we asked random people to take pictures of us eating, so here there are! We talked about where we're from, what we like, and music we listen to. We also discussed presentation topics. It was a nice and sunny day so after we ate, we sat outside for a little and chit-chatted.
